It's The Fall that Matters

It has been a crazy hectic season this fall with preparing the house for new tenants and purchasing a new house in Virginia and the list goes on and on.  But lately I have been reading a lot of posts that inspire me to relax and take in the moments that this season has to offer.  The day to day jobs of motherhood are still taking place and there are days when I am so tired...an extra cup of coffee doesn't keep me awake.  But then there are days like this one, when my four year old stops to to share this beautiful plant.

Come on aren't those fingers so tiny?  Her wonder fills my heart.

Just today we ran in the leaves and pushed our boots through piles on our way to pick up the boys from school.  Quite frankly is was snowing leaves and I was loving it.  I don't often take the time to relax but   sometimes life just yells out for you to take a break.

Don't get me wrong I am stressed to the max and filled with some anxiety about moving but what is the point of passing this on to my kiddos.  They get it, they are growing up, they see me with every emotion under the sun and they are trying everything to have me live in the moment.  How chesszy I sound but I am getting it.  I am seeing that being a mother is my greatest moment.  Why have I been missing this?

As the last leaves fall and I listen to the rain tonight, I am saying my prayers for all that I have been given.

  1. Lovely post. We all need to make a list of the good things in our lives. 9 times out of 10 the good out weighs the bad. Try to take deep breaths and hang in there!
