Turkey Day Thanks...My Friends

I am pretty sure they are going to eat me for turkey dinner because I posted this picture, but it is a thankful post and I can't share without sharing two of the five most wonderful ladies in my life.  I have a small group of friends who know of each other but sadly to say I like to keep them all to myself most of the time.  Unfortunately for me, they have to meet so we can all say good bye to the shortest one in the bunch, that's me!

I know everyone is writing a thankful post about their families and believe me, I love my family in depth, all of them.  But I couldn't get through my day without these lovely ladies.  They listen to me early in the morning and sometimes late at night.  When I am lonely, crazy and downright exhausted from being on my own with the kiddos.  We commiserate, celebrate and ponder life as we know it.  We all have children that put us to the test and we all have the sickness of the design bug.  Is it too much to ask to have a nice house that you love?

What the heck am I going to do when I move?  I have insured that Lulu has skype, but if you are reading this, I don't look so good in the morning and I am usually in my flannel jammies by six in the evening.  You two are true beauty to me.

I am thankful that you have let me into your busy lives and allowed me to be a part of the daily ins and outs of being you.  I couldn't ask for better role models.

So Thanksgiving this year is not about the food at all.  It is about how far I have come in five years and how much richer my life is because of my friends.   They provide me with a sisterhood that allows me to feel comfort and joy each day.  They guide me in better directions.  They protect me.

My home has most of it's functional beauty from The Vintage Source, besides Marshall's, my most favorite shopping venue.  The lovely lady on the left is the brainchild behind the brilliance.  Of course my hubby said I could drive up on sale weekends and work the sale if I wanted to.  Work....I just want to grab the goods.  So lady, I will be staying with you!  Forgot to tell you!

Well, to end my post, I have to say thank you to my friends far and wide as well on this day.  Happy Thanksgiving.

  2. I will let the picture you posted go because of the lovely things you said! I will miss you too but I am looking forward to visiting you and seeing where your life takes you now. Confident, cool dressing, bad-ass mommas like you will always succeed and make the rest of us step up to the plate. I am grateful to be called your friend.
